LISA KREFT - Nursery Coordinator
Lisa Kreft is the Nursery and Kids' Church Coordinator for Discover Community Church. Lisa and her husband, Jeremy married in 2007, and have three little girls, Vivian, Violet and Everly. In her down time, she loves to organize and decorate her home, and enjoys a good comedic movie. As a young woman, Lisa realized that one of her giftings is working with children! After some attempts at in the traditional office setting, she found herself drawn back to children. In her 22+ years of child care history, she has worked as an educational assistant, a preschool teacher, a tutor, and a nanny. Her favorite part of working with children at Discover, is that she gets to teach the word of Jesus! Lisa believes that children are ground-breakers for the kingdom of Christ, and that they have an important role in this world! She is grateful to be able to help guide and equip them as they grow into that role. It is her goal to accept every child that finds their way into our Nursery or Kids' Church and see each one as the precious child of God that they are.
CRAIG AND LEAH CARSON - Youth Pastors
Craig and Leah Carson became youth pastors in the fall of 2015. They had been serving in the church for many years in other ministries such as Kids' Church, praise and worship team, coffee bar ministry, helpers in youth ministry, and the Discover Freedom ministry when God called them to be on staff as youth pastors. They had experience as youth pastors in the early years of marriage before having children, and now many years later with older boys, that experience has proved a blessing for them and others! They have served with Discover since the church launched in 2018. As youth pastors they have a strong desire to lead our youth into a deeper trusting and loving relationship with God the Father and Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. Learning to pray, worship the Lord, evangelize others and operate in their giftings are all the aspects of living the Christian life that they hope to teach by modeling it themselves. The motto for the youth group is "Love God, Love People, for Life". Craig and Leah realize that our relationship with God the Father needs to be healthy in order to know how to love the world as Christ does. Their desire is to partner with the church body at DCC to show the love of Jesus in our community.
CAMERON CARSON - Worship Leader
Cameron Carson is the Worship Leader at Discover. He has grown up in church and has been blessed by the fact that his youth pastors were willing to mentor him along with other youth in leading worship. That started when he was in 7th grade and continued up to his senior year of high school. By that time he was also playing for the adult worship team at Discover Community Church and helping out at Jubilee Fellowship Church whenever they needed him. He plays drums, electric and acoustic guitar, keys, leads worship, and loves every minute of it! Cameron has expressed his thankfulness to God for putting him in this position in the Fall of 2019. Worship is his favorite music (although he enjoys many genres). He was waiting for the day to come when he could step away from his retail job so he could play and lead people in worship. He enjoys learning more about worship and growing as a leader at every opportunity. Outside of church, he works on other music projects with friends, writing and recording music using a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). He also loves watching movies and spending time with his family.
